Dover Sweater (English)
This pattern is in English.
Dover Sweater is worked from the top down in a raglan structure. The fit is everything in this simple, classic design. Pair it with high-waisted trousers or over a dress. Dover sweater is ideal to wear under a blazer or coat without bulky excess material at the underarm due to the shallower armhole depth.
First the yoke is worked with short rows to create shape to the neck. The remainder of the yoke is worked in the round with raglan increases. The sweater is then divided for the body and sleeves, and new stitches are cast on for the underarms. The body and sleeves are finished separately and worked in the round, and the edges are bound off using the Italian Bind-off technique. Lastly the neck is worked in stockinette stitch.
